Debbie Kent was born and raised in Peachtree City, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia, majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations. Ms. Kent spent most of her career fund-raising for non-profits, including multiple units of The American Cancer Society. She has lived in Greensboro for 14 years with her husband Ronnie, and their 13-year-old fur baby, Oliver. They have three daughters and two beautiful grandchildren. After retiring to raise her children, she became active in many volunteer organizations and is an active member in their local church (Lake Oconee Church) and other community organizations. Ms. Kent co-leads a women’s Bible Study. She enjoys spending time with her growing family, travel, and is a fair-weather golfer. Ms. Kent’s heart is for all children in Greene County to develop a love for learning so that they are successful in school and in life.
