Barbara S. Johnson is a retired educator with thirty-five years of service. She was a dedicated first and fourth grade teacher, Instructional Lead Teacher, and Greene County Preschool Director.

She has a Bachelor's and a Master's in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College and State University.   She also earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate Tennessee.

Mrs. Johnson is active in her church, Historic Springfield Baptist Church, where she serves as L. H. Stinson Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Deaconess Board, Open Hearts Ministry and Our Father’s Kitchen collaboration.

She participates in her community as a Lifetime Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Additionally, she serves the community as a member of the Greensboro Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, the Greene County Department of Family and Children Services Board of Commissioners, and member of the Greene County Retired Educators Association.
